If you’re a true pizza lover, you know what you want: the best pizzas with fresh, homemade dough, baked in a ceramic oven, with homemade tomato sauce and the finest ingredients. Right?
In this post, I’ll share what I believe are the best pizzerias in Santiago de Compostela.
Table of contents
Sicilia in Bocca
Undoubtedly the best pizza in town.
In recent years, they’ve been so successful that their previous location is now solely dedicated to delivery, and they’ve opened a new, much larger place just a few meters away on the same street.
The new location is huge but almost always full, so call ahead to reserve.
Sicilia in Bocca features a traditional oven, homemade dough, fantastic homemade tomato sauce, and a wide variety of pizzas.
You’ll be surprised to find that most of the staff (if not all) are of Italian origin.
If you like calzones, they make a spectacular, huge one! Order it for at least two people.
They also prepare other Italian dishes, though pizza is undoubtedly their specialty.

Italian Restaurant Ginos
The pizza here is very good, with fresh dough, great taste, 100% natural tomato, and high-quality ingredients.
The value for money isn’t as high as at Sicilia in Bocca, and it’s located in a shopping center (As Cancelas), so you’ll almost always find a place to eat here.
They also offer a daily menu and other Italian dishes, which are also very good.

Galipizza, the Galician Style Pizza
This typical Galician pizzeria offers surprising pizza flavors, such as lacón with grelos, churrasco, or octopus.
The dough isn’t fresh, and the tomato sauce isn’t the best, but if you enjoy trying new tastes in pizza form, I recommend the broken eggs with zorza pizza.

La Rinconada
A small pizzeria located in the As Cancelas shopping center, it offers interesting, homemade dough, baked in a high-quality oven, and the pizza is fantastic.
It’s a small place that tends to be full, and the pizza options are a bit varied, but it’s worth trying.
