Today, I made the bittersweet decision to order dinner from Chivuo’s for delivery.
Their 85% positive rating on the app intrigued me. But after seeing good reviews from other restaurants in the country, I decided to take a chance.
It didn’t turn out great, nor was it terrible… Let me explain.

What I Ordered from Chivuo’s in Santiago de Compostela
A Chivuo’s burger, which looked very appetising.
A portion of Korean-style chicken (we love Korean food at home).
What I Received
What I received didn’t quite match the pictures. The burger was acceptable, not at all the same, but well, it happens.
However, the chicken was downright disappointing.

My Opinion on Chivuo’s Santiago
After eating what I ordered, I can only say that the taste was okay.
The Chivuo’s Burger
The burger was good, greasy but good, with crispy bacon and a slightly dry bun. The lettuce was wilted, the cheese was tasty, and the caramelised onion added a nice touch. The slightly rare meat was good.
The “Korean” Chicken
The chicken, clearly frozen, consisted of large nuggets of decent quality for being frozen but nowhere near what was ordered. The “Korean” sauce was totally different from the sweet and spicy Korean recipe sauce; it was a mix of barbecue sauce and some kind of pink spicy sauce that didn’t come close to the image or expectations.
Honestly, the discrepancy with the photo seems criminal. You can’t advertise one thing and deliver another. Even if the sauces come in separate containers, it’s like ordering patatas bravas shown as real potatoes with homemade sauce, but receiving bagged fries with a packet of ketchup.
Very disappointing.
Honestly, it doesn’t make you want to order from this place again. Even though the burger was good, it would have to be the best burger in the world for me to consider ordering from them again.
Conclusion
If you see a rating of only 85% positive on the app… Don’t order!
